Jake and Maria got married in Birmingham surrounded by many friends and family. Between the rainy proposal and the rainy engagement session, it only made sense for it to rain on Jake and Maria’s wedding day…and honestly, it was perfect and special for them! I’m not gonna lie, this wedding holds a special place in my heart because I’ve been able to see Maria before she was with Jake; I got to travel with Maria for a few months to London and she played a huge part in my own wedding day!
When she started dating this Jake guy, I knew he had to be the one because she couldn’t stop talking about him!
Their wedding day was completely them. Each part had intentional meaning and was full of so much love! Maria redesigned her mother’s wedding dress and wore her grandmother’s vintage veil from Italy.
Maria’s sister did her hair and makeup while all the girls got ready
Jake was surrounded by a group of friends from childhood and college
everything was inspired by a modern victoria theme
This first looks with Maria and her dad happened out of no where but was really one of the sweetest moments of the entire day, of course we all cried 🙂
Maria decided on her home church for their venue. Surrounded by so many that have loved them for years was so special to be apart of!
The skies parted for a few moments right before the reception!
The floating flowers were all handmade by Maria, her mother, and the bridesmaids
Maria is a writer, so it made sense to be surrounded with books at their first dance!
And we danced for hours!
